This class is for individuals who find touch difficult due to past traumatic experiences or feel disconnected from it. The focus is on learning to touch and be touched in a nurturing and healing way. You’ll explore how touch can be a source of comfort and safety, rather than pain or discomfort, and how to reshape your understanding of touch as a positive, non-malicious experience. You’ll not only learn these concepts but also experience them and shape your unique approach to touch. By the end of the class, you'll leave with practical tools on how to communicate your boundaries, learn the different types of touch and take home pamphlets and visual cards to affirm your comfort and confidence in touch, whether for yourself or to connect with your baby.
